Rejected petition Protect the Children of Braywood CofE First School

We the parents, grandparents, friends, staff and local residents having an interested in protecting children at Braywood C of E First school, Oakley Green Windsor or a interest in road safety request that the Government ensures that our local council act to reduce the speed limit specifically outside of Braywood school and for a length of Oakley Green Road.
If action is not taken a person or animal could well be killed or seriously injured, the pavements and the road is used by many different users and preference must be given to our children, local people and horses etc not for the convenience or motorists.

The Department for Transport takes the issue of road safety for all road users seriously. It gives local traffic authorities the flexibility to set local speed limits that are appropriate for the individual road, reflecting local needs and taking account of local considerations.
