Petition Driver's need MOT's as well as their cars

In order to prove that a vehicle is safe to use on the UK highways, it is required to have an MOT.

With the falling standards of driving that we continue to see on the UK highways, there needs to be something to ensure that driver's maintain a safe minimum standard of driving.

Driver's need to be subject to a regular MOT, just like their cars. This need not be a full driving test, an hour of driving monitored by a trained / authorised person should suffice. This should be done every 5 or 10 years, to be kept in line with photo renewals for the driving licence.
