Walker Welfare is under threat of being demolished. This is building is in the heart of the village. In 2008 it was earmarked £1000.00 to repair by Kirklees MC. Unfortunately the funding never materialised.
This building has seen many generations pass through its doors and to lose this building under these circumstances is devasting.
