Petition Review on gambling and the negative effect it has on society.
More details
I call the removal of roulette and other casino like machines from all high street bookmakers and to take a cautious stance in the exposure of gambling towards the general public, especially focusing on online gambling.
I seriously believe the government have underestimated the damage and addictiveness gambling has on members of the public.
Vulnerable individuals and families are increasingly becoming exposed to problems associated with addictive gambling.
Record numbers of people are gambling online and on 'casino like' machines currently stationed in most bookmakers. It is not uncommon to see individuals spend money they can not afford to feed their drug like habits.
This needs to stop and the current stance in encouraging gambling through TV advertisement and other forms is not worth the revenue it generates.
Record numbers of bookmakers are opening on our high streets for a reason.
