In light of the fact that Government has issued more than 3,000 export licences for military and intelligence equipment worth a total of £12.3bn to countries which are on its own official list for human rights abuses, we the undersigned, demand that appropriate laws are put in place to ensure that the UK government is unable to send any form of military or intelligence assistance to countries that it deems to have a poor record of human rights abuses, regardless of the short term economic gain.
