Rejected petition Elected officials should be compelled to publish their internet activity
More details
In the interests of transparency publicly elected officials of the United Kingdom should be compelled to have all their internet usage analysed, categorized and published in the public domain.
The implementation of this statute would allow a greater visibility of the functioning of our servants and allay fears of hypocrisy from their electorate.
Any legislation derived from this this petition would only apply to those involved directly in the creation or implementation of relevant legislation or provision of public commentary upon.
Published results would be restricted to domains visited over time.
The publishing of any results of this scheme is entirely optional, with objection resulting solely in a publicized note of the subjects unwillingness to participate in disclosure.
