Closed petition Convict Irresponsible Dog-on-Dog Attack Owners

Yet again, another story has emerged of a dog on dog attack case where the irresponsible owner has gotten away with their actions.

We propose that dog on dog attacks are taken seriously and legislation introduced to convict irresponsible owners whose dog(s) have attacked those of innocent families and ensure they are held fully accountable legally for their actions.

Convict owners who:

-Let their dogs attack others.

-Let their dogs run riot and unchecked in neighbourhoods

-Refuse to fit their dogs with muzzles, collars or on leads as appropriate or keep their dogs under control at all times

We propose that irresponsible owners are convicted with:

-Heavy fines and prison sentences for persistent re-offenders

-Their dangerous dog(s) seized immediately after an attack and re-homed to responsible owners only

-The irresponsible owner's details being kept on file, preventing them from being able to own animals in future.
