With doctors' surgeries open during the standard working days and hours of most other workers across the country, it makes it extremely difficult for a visit to the GP to be made by many.

Forcing GPs to stay open over weekends allows people to create appointments, call up and drop in at potentially the only times they are able to do so.

Britons' health is one of the most important things the government should be focusing on, hence limiting a GP surgery to basic hours on weekdays only is not enough.
