This is a call for all cyclists, and all their bikes, to be be liable for Vehicle Excise Duty and to have to register their bikes with DVLA.

It's in the best interest of cyclists to have one of those daft round VED certificates to prove to all the pig-ignorant motorists out there that we too pay 'road tax' and are just as entitled to use the roads as they are.

The fact that bicycles would be zero-rated for emissions and we wouldn't have to pay anything would be lost on them, but... there you go. That it would actually cost THEM to administer this daft idea would be the icing on the cake.
