Our armed forces have taken the brunt of every budgetary cut over the last twenty years, the army having gone from 165000 to 105000, the navy 60000 to 35000 and the air force 75000 to 50000. This government seems content to continue the wholesale butchery of the finest most coveted armed forces in the world. Manpower numbers, if anything must be increased not slashed. Conflicts are won or lost by boots on the ground not technology!
