Closed Make Local Suicide Preventions Strategies Mandatory

Require all local authority areas to develop and implement a local suicide prevention strategy ad implementation plan led by the local Director of Public Health or Senior member of the public health team and establish a suicide prevention group that includes specialist representation from all relevant sectors being private, public, third sector and community. Local suicide prevention plans must include provision for self-harm prevention and for those bereaved by suicide. One suicide is one too many.
