Closed petition Stop limiting medication for people living with Chronic Pain Syndromes because of the recently introduced Policy Reducing Drugs Misuse & Dependence.
Closed on
People with Chronic Pain have a genuine need for this medication as we live with pain 24/7 that affects our quality of life, reduces activities of daily living, is debilitating/disabling & as this pain is life limiting so we often suffer with depression. If you reduce our medication you will have a further detrimental affect on our life, symptoms, depression & reduce our capabilities further. The Department of Health should take this into account with this policy, as we need this medication to maintain our optimum level of health, mobility & quality of life. Doctors have a Duty of Care to the patient to ensure they are as pain free as possible. We need this medication so by applying this policy to people living with Chronic Pain you are potentially taking away our human right to be pain free.
