It is very confusing how to apply for postgraduate funding and scholarships tend to be focussed on specific topics. The application for funding is elitist and full-time study biased. By having a scheme with the student loan company as undergraduates do it opens up opportunities for more students including part-time/distance students to get financial help to better themselves.
