Rejected petition No to UK military involvement in Syria

Regardless of what atrocities may or may not have been committed by whichever side in Syria, can I please implore the Government to not involve the UK military in yet another foreign war simply to show willing to the US and other such eager intervenors.

Our involvement in both Iraq and Afghanistan has taken a massive physical and mental toll on our armed forces, and I truly believe that the general population of this country do not want to see us embroiled in other countries' conflicts. The UK ultimately always ends up being vilified for such interference, but never thanked.
