Rejected petition No military involvement in Syria

The death and enforced flight to neighbouring countries of so many Syrians is a dreadful situation, but HM Government should not intervene in any military way without the full backing and approval of the United Nations Security Council and by vote of the whole Uniten Nations General Assembly (as the disastrous interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan clearly indicate the folly of using force except as a last resort and with full international agreement) but should maximize efforts to bring about a peaceful solution and to aid those who are suffering as far as practicable.
