It is obscene that organisations make a profit from supplying the essential utilities of water, gas and electricity. The only profit that should be allowed is that required to maintain and improve the applicable infrastructure. Utility organisations should not be driven by a profit motivation for the benefit of shareholders but purely by the need to supply the utility in the most cost effective and efficient way for the benefit of all the end users
