The UN is funded by contributions from members.

In 2013, the United Kingdom paid 5.18% of the running costs, whereas China paid 5.15% and Russia paid 2.44%.

Now that the Russian economy is on a par with the UK, the UK should not being paying twice as much.

Now that the Chinese economy is over ten times larger than the UK, China should contribute much more.

We ask the Government to lobby the UN, so that it is funded more fairly.
