Closed Improve safety equipment onboard flights for babies and young children

Currently, children under 2 including babies Aee expected by many airlines to travel on the lap of an adult secured by means of a lap extension belt. This offers virtually no protection, as several US studies have demonstrated.

The law should be changed to force airlines to except and enforce that young children should be secured using more suitable equipment such as child harnesses and child seats (similar to car seats) which are adapted for airline use.

Much focus is placed on securing children when travelling in cars, why not in the air?
