The prime minister should propose a solution in Syria based upon the exile of Assad etc. to Iran with a redundancy package to the value say, of the missiles that some halfwits " think" a solution. Use interim civil service rule (they are fairly good) and a UN. force with teeth. Guarantee the Russians their bases and rebuilding , jobs, medicine, education and training to their young people. Assad is finished his soldiers have no heart to fight but they are cornered, surrounded by vengeful,merciless killers and are desperate for their lives and those of their families.
