After the failure of the new River Wear crossing project, costing taxpayers £11.5 million, and years of aborted projects and broken promises which has reduced Sunderland City council to a laughing stock, I am calling on behalf of the people of the once-proud City of Sunderland for Communities and Local government Minister Eric Pickles and Labour Party HQ to remove Sunderland Council leader Paul Watson.
