Petition Overhaul of the education system
More details
That attitude to work and education in the country frankly is poor and an overhaul of the system is what is needed to get young people into the right frame of mind.
Everyone must stay in education until they reach the qualifications require bust some can have a full time job or apprenticeship instead after a certain point.
Those who wish to study at Sixth Forms and have the grades can study there.
Those without can go to college and do any number of courses. Colleges should provide compulsory work experience in the course field that the student is studying. For example, food technology students could run their own restaurant.
Sixth Form students must attend university if the grades are met but can leave after A-Levels if they have received an apprenticeship or full-time job.
College students must at least have an NVQ - Level 2 before they can get an apprenticeship or a full-time job and if that isn't possible, they must get an NVQ - Level 3.
