Rejected petition Remove the university student caps for 2020

Students have been subject to miscalculated grades this year meaning many near misses have missed their offers. I am asking for the government to remove or loosen the university student caps for 2020 entry.

We were not able to sit our exams, many worthy students have missed out on their opportunity to go to uni. Honouring the offer can not happen with these student caps.

Since you stated your petition the Government has stated that to ensure students can progress to higher education, the government intends to remove the temporary student number controls (SNCs) which had been introduced for the coming academic year 2020/21: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/student-number-controls/student-number-controls-further-guidance
