Seafarers are constantly discriminated by Port State Control and officials in African Ports.
African officials constantly threaten seafarers with the detention of the vessel, arrest of the Master and or deportation if we do not hand over money, cigarettes and food for some made up lie.
There are no regulations to protect the seafarer in this situation!
