I want it to be made a legal requirement for everyone to move out of the way of an emergency vehicle attending a blue light 999 emergency as every minute counts and could save somebody’s life.

An emergency vehicle attending a blue light 999 call could save somebody’s life as every minute counts, not just ambulances but all emergency services! Every minute helps towards EVERY 999 call!

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The Emergency Workers (Obstruction) Act 2006 already makes it an offence to obstruct an emergency vehichle, and the Highway Code requires people to be aware of emergency vehicles.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
