Rejected petition Stop Peak District National Park Authority Banning Eco-friendly transport
More details
Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA) are in the process of imposing a strategic package of traffic regulation orders on public carriageways that will ban electric mopeds and motorcycles and severely disrupt the network available to them.
We ask that DEFRA intervene to ensure PDNPA perform their statutory duty to secure the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of electric mopeds and motorcycles and satisfy the requirements of section 122 (bb) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 pertaining to the National Air Quality strategy.
We ask that the PDNPA perform a public consultation on the strategic effect of it's planned package of bans in relation to electric mopeds and motorcycles and ask that the public be afforded the oppotunity to comment on options that exclude electric motorcycles from the ban.
