Closed petition Richard III to be re-interred in York Minster
Closed on
For the mortal remains of Richard III, to be re- interred in York Minster, a medieval King who knew and worshipped in this medieval cathedral. King Richard spent most of his adult life in Yorkshire, where he governed the North with fairness on behalf of Edward IV. A place which he loved and considered home, where the city of York recorded in their notes. "King Richard late mercifully reigning upon us was piteously slain and murdered, to the great heaviness of this city".
