Commercial organisations are abusing the Freedom of Information Act by requesting staffing and financial information from NHS Organisations so they can attempt to sell them products. These requests are not in the public interest and against the spirit of the act. The NHS has better things to do than answer such questions and they should be stopped as they waste valuable management time that could be spent on improving patient care and making services safer.
