Rejected petition Change censorship regarding music and music videos in public mediums
More details
Given the recent, very popular, release of Robin Thicke's inappropriate and objectifying song "Blurred Lines", I want to ask that songs such as this, and their music videos if they are also offensive, are removed from easily available public mediums, such as TV and radio stations, to avoid objectification, misogyny, rape, drugs or gang culture being shown to be promoted or acceptable.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
There are laws already covering objectionable material in the media.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
