Rejected petition Remove local lockdown rules due to the devastating economic and societal impact

Lockdowns and the associated devastating impact on business and the health of thousands of people will ultimately kill more people than coronavirus. Suicide rates have increased dramatically. Loss of jobs will scar lives & communities for years. The current government measures are disproportionate.

The government must undertake a rapid review of the negative economic, societal and individual impacts of the draconian lockdown measures the government has implemented. When balancing the short and longer term impact on mental health, suicide and other serious medical consequences such as; delayed diagnosis and treatment of serious illnesses vs. the direct health impact of coronavirus it is absolutely clear that the governments measures are completely disproportionate. Evidence is overwhelming.
