Despite a media frenzy very few people want to be unemployed, Anyone entering a job centre for help into employment, now leaves feeling humiliated shamed and depressed. Add to that the proposal to treat the unemployed like criminals by forcing them to do community service and it will create an underclass of slaves to do the work which council staff are now paid to do. Instead job centre staff should be empowered to help people back into employment.
