Rejected petition Use reduced content exams in May/June and teacher assessments for A level grades
To hold A level and GCSE exams at the normal time, with reduced content (such as cancelling practical assessments), possibly just one or two exams per subject, in combination with a teacher assessment and predicted grades as a final grade.
More details
After having missed at least 4 months of in school learning, we are now expected to do our final year almost entirely online, with only a few schools/ colleges being able to teach in person. This creates a disparity between the level of teaching students from different parts of the country can receive. We cannot make up for the lack of resources available for subject specific work, what will be almost a year of teaching ourselves content, being incredibly behind in all areas, in three weeks.
