Maternity services are facing many challenges.
Better Births Is causing midwives to consider leaving the profession.
Better births means Midwives have to be on call , work in unfamiliar areas, change their shift pattern and disrupt their family life.
Women want a safe birth. They want a midwife who is competent in her field of work and happy at work.
This is dangerous.
We are at risk ,working through a pandemic on minimal staffing levels.
We want this suspended now.
