Petition Disabled Marriage / Partner Cohabitation
More details
Marriage / moving in with someone is a sanctuary of love, imagine making this life long bond and not being able to live with each other. This is reality for many disabled people (who are reliant on others for assistance) who's partner is also impaired as well. The only chance to see your loved one is on the odd weekend, or the occasional midweek meet up depending on your current life status.
It would be simple for this to change... The authorities who provide the care need to have the open mindedness to transfer the care package of one persons to the others local authority.
All to often, this doesn't happen and those who become life long partners or married are unable to fulfil a 'normal' couple life. Which is unacceptable.
Love is as real for the disabled community as it is for others.
Imagine your other half hurting themselves or becoming sick and you're unable to support them through that time or even see them...
