Rejected petition Dog Theft Crime-vastly increase penalties, dogs are family, not possessions.

Dog theft is only on the increase. It destroys the lives of their families in so many ways. The law MUST be changed to reflect our pets esteemed position in our family. And penalties for the theft of dogs need to reflect how important our pets are to us.

Too many dogs get stolen, abused, forced to have puppies, in terrible conditions. It must confuse the dogs as much as it hurts the families they are a part of. It's time the law were changed to give our pets the respect and position in our lives that they deserve. Minimum 5 year sentence for anybody KIDNAPPING one of our family members.
