Many people's livelihoods will be adversely affected by Brexit. Jobs and industries will be lost and businesses will be closed. This money would be better used by supporting them recover in some way.

It seems extremely inappropriate to celebrate something the majority of the population now do not want.

Cancelling this event and redirecting the funds would start healing the country instead of causing further division.
