Rejected petition Make Facebook remove beheading videos

More details

After previously banning beheading videos, Facebook has decided to allow them on their website again ('Facebook lets beheading clips return to social network, BBC News, 22/10/2013, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24608499).
These videos will be able to be seen by children aged 13 and above. If UK citizens aren't allowed to buy videos containing a similar level of (fake) bloody violence until they are 18, Facebook has a duty to prevent people seeing graphic violent videos of real life murders and crimes on their website. They are glorifying violence.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Facebook is responsible for its content, and has withdrawn such videos.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
