Rejected petition Open the Hospitality Industry in Tier 3 on 2/12/2020 under previous guidelines

The Government are destroying the Hospitality Industry.

Opening up other sectors but not the Hospitality Sector is criminal and will lead to thousands of job losses, and millions unemployed.

We propose opening it, on the 2/12/2020, under previous guidelines from the first lockdown.

More details

We urge the Government to listen, and to save restaurants and bars. It will save jobs, lives, and livelihoods.

It is not only a moral obligation but a social obligation. You sit back behind your closed doors and do not understand the impact you are having by forcing those that rely on this trade to close.

Open your eyes, there is a world beyond your agenda and it will collapse without help.

Thank you

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

You may wish to sign this petition calling for the same action: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/561917

Your petition calls for the hospitality industry to be allowed to reopen under the guidance from the first lockdown, but during the first lockdown all hospitality businesses were required to close except for takeaway or delivery services.

If you want the hospitality sector to be allowed to reopen in a way other than requested by the above petition you could start a new petition stating clearly what conditions you want to apply to the hospitality sector.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
