Rejected petition Increase the education school pupils receive about women's health issues.
I would like the Government to make it mandatory that school pupils receive more in depth education in secondary school about women's health. This includes education about menstrual cycles and contraception.
More details
Many girls do not have access to enough information in order to understand their bodies and their health. It would benefit so many girls if this was taught, and discussed in school, on a regular basis. Not everyone feels comfortable speaking to parents or guardians about these issues and this can result in them missing out on the help they need.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. New compulsory curriculum content has recently been issued for covering these topics in schools in Relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education. This must be implemented by the summer term 2021 at the latest.
