Rejected petition Create a more solid process to assess risk of someone before discharge.

Create a supportive structured plan that actually happens. If people present themselves as suicidal at a place of safety this should not be invalidated and should be placed in a safe environment. More training and funding to recruiting of appropriately accredited staff and more money and awareness.

More details

If someone was in a safe environment or had appropriate support in place , there will be less suicides so lower death rate, individuals will then have access to support and more trust in mental health services as this can be massively lost to the let down of support available. There will be a lower risk of harm and vulnerability to young people and adults , doing this will not only save an individual but also save the hearts of many family members of devastation and distress.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do specifically to help lower the rates of suicide.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do to improve the discharging process of people vulnerable to suicide.
