Students on masters courses should be eligible for loans from the student loan company (in the same way that undergraduates are).

As these courses are often the gateway to lucrative careers, a move away from self-funding would improve social mobility. In addition, admissions based on intellect rather than ability to pay are inherently more meritocratic.
