This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Setting prices for individual products is a matter for retailers.
The Government has already introduced minimum pricing for alcohol products. If you would like these to be increased so retailers cannot sell below cost price, you could start a new petition calling for that to happen.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
