This petition was submitted during the 2019-2024 parliament
Rejected petition The PM to make a statement to Commons that he has mishandled Brexit and Covid.
The combination of the Prime Minister's statements on leaving the EU and making a trade deal with it, together with mismanagement of the pandemic causing avoidable loss of life and livelihoods, has led to serious damage to the United Kingdom socially, culturally, environmentally and economically.
More details
The Prime Minister has a unique degree of responsibility for the statements made during the EU referendum, during the last election and subsequently, and for the mishandling of the pandemic. He has led the country into what many consider a disastrous state, jeopardising all our futures and well-being, particularly of young people and the impoverished, and has diminished the security of the nation and damaged its ability to play a positive role in raising standards of living around the world.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
We cannot accept petitions calling for individual MPs or Ministers to make a statement. This would be a matter for the individual MP or Minister in question, not the Government or House of Commons.
If you are concerned about the Government's handling of the Covid-19 outbreak you might like to sign the following petition:
Public inquiry into Covid-19 pandemic immediately with the aim of saving lives: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/331877
We could accept a petition calling for a public inquiry into the Government's handling of UK-EU negotiations following the EU refernedum, if that's what you want to happen.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
