Petition Revoke the 3 pin bayonet light bulb farce

Ridiculous to FORCE builders to fit sockets which ONLY accept £15 light bulbs made ONLY in Germany.
Get rid of this stupid ruling and let builders fit normal light holders.
Several reasons:
a) Environmental - I have just replaced the fittings with normal ones at a huge environmental cost in plastic and metal production and transport
b) Environmental - the transport of the bulbs from Germany costs more CO2 than the slight savings in electricity would ever save
c) Environmental - the German bulbs blow in a very very short time (days or at best weeks) and require continual replacement.
d) Economic - forcing, or attempting to force the consumer to buy from a single FOREIGN source is forcing imports and damaging our economy.
