Now that genetic testing is more common place (November 2013) and research into canine health is publically demanded from pet owners.

The time has come for a limit to be placed on all breeders, as to how many times a dog can be used as the father of puppies.

A bitch can only be put into whelp on 4 occasions and have the progeny duly registered by the Kennel Club of the UK.

However, a dog can still be used as soon as fertile and then over used , perhaps in excess of 100 times.

''Popular Sire Syndrome'' affects too many Show people and they are unable to self regulate.

Consequently Laws need to be passed to stop the abuse of Sires - backed up by the DNA testing of both parents and off-spring to prove the true parentage of all puppies.

This must restrict Show People and all the other types of breeders, being puppy farmers or even hobby breeders.

Nobody can be exempted.
