Front line door supervisors to be given extra permissions to arrest and responsibly detain suspects of crime related to public disorder and violence. The role of a door supervisor is a high risk role with a big responsibility towards public safety yet we face some of the toughest challenges in dealing with members of the public under the influence of drink and drugs. Policing numbers throughout the uk are dropping each year yet violence related incidents within the night time culture remains to rise. I feel it's time the government allow responsible powers to trained sia operatives.
