Closed Spirit Healthcare – Blood Glucose Meter Accuracy Campaign

• Spirit Healthcare believes that people with diabetes deserve access to meters that have proven accuracy.
• We therefore propose a requirement for annual UK testing to ensure continued compliance with international standards.
• This test should be carried out by an independent body with the authority to withdraw non-compliant products from the market.
• This test should be funded by companies currently within the market to ensure no additional cost to the National Health Service.
