Closed Ban the import of asbestos in car parts

Ban the import of aftermarket brake pads/ shoes and clutch plates that contain asbestos.

I am concerned about the fact that the import of aftermarket brake pads/shoes and clutch plates are still being manufactured to contain asbestos in various countries around the world in particular in the far eastern countries.

I am calling on the government to ban the import of potentially life threatening asbestos used in car parts to protect the health and well being of its citizens, in particular the mechanics that have to work with these materials.

Please sign this petition, this is important and I believe that awareness needs to be made about this and the government needs to listen and do something about the issue as asbestos is a known killer.
