Air Passenger Duty in the UK is the highest in Europe. It is unfair to UK citizens because it makes air travel prohibitively expensive for the majority of passengers. This Government promised to review this tax and to introduce an environment tax based on aircraft size in terms of fuel consumption. Not only would this change be fairer to passengers but also it would make airlines more efficient in terms of their consumption of fuel.
