The signatories of this petition all wish the government to cease and desist all investment in HS2 and to scrap the whole project in favour of the 51m style of alternative strategy for combined infrastructure development throughout the whole of the UK in order that all devolved nations and all counties, localities and tax paying passengers plus all businesses large and small can benefit fully and grow from improved capacity and connectivity to all corners of the nation at a greatly reduced cost, as opposed to the very few cities which will benefit from HS2 where the present proposal will drive the wealth only back into the capital as shown by the implementation of all high speed infrastructures throughout the world
