A soldier cannot commit murder by killing the enemy on the field of combat.

If a soldier kills wrongly, for example by killing a wounded enemy who is beyond harming him, he makes a mistake and should be dealt with accordingly.

But this mistake is not the crime of murder and he should not suffer life imprisonment.
